Position Description, Functions, Duties, and Tasks:
Oversight of services in support of operations and site functions which include:
Supply Chain
Production Planning
Warehouse/Distribution/Logistics
Provide strategy and budgets for each of the listed functional groups
Serve as a member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) engaging on cross-functional goals to improve overall site performance.
Manage all responsible cost centers and all financial aspects including headcount and other expense related items.
Leverage Quality as a differentiator by reducing product loss, equipment deviations, rework, and production downtime
Interface with corporate and external firms/vendors
Serve as a coach and develop people at the site to enable organization performance improvement.
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment supporting all HSE site policies goals and initiatives and ensuring safe work practices of employees.
Stays current with and ensures alignment with Regulatory and Companies’ expectations.
General understanding of the pharmaceutical and animal health industries, materials management, distribution, and product securities practices, as well as sales practices and marketing models.
Complete all HR-related tasks such as ePM plans, development plans, succession planning, career counseling, and all other people-related aspects of the team.
Able to handle change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
Stay current with industry and manufacturing trends regarding Supply Chain.
Provide strategic direction for Supply Chain, Distribution, and Logistics allowing for reliable supply and growth at the site.
Support production plans for API, Filling and packaging operations
Provides robust planning process for site to supply reliably including OSSCE principles, metrics, and scheduling
Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle.
Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.
Ensure product availability for our customers through effective production planning given affiliate forecasting trend data.
Ensure 100% On Time-In-full (OTIF) order fulfillment
Provide adequate storage conditions and transportation for raw materials, packaging materials, components, and product
Ensures appropriate transportation for products to the appropriate customer is managed effectively
Ensures appropriate cold chain principles are applied to product storage and handling to maintain compliance
Deep understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory expectations (FDA or USDA and GMP industry guidelines) preferred
Exhibits sound judgment by evaluating problems thoroughly, soliciting input and ideas, and using a systematic decision making approach
Appropriately challenges the status quo and uses knowledge and experience to continuously improve work processes
Ability to develop effective working relationships with team members and management with diverse interpersonal styles
Other Information:
Must be able to travel to all areas of the plant which may include walking, climbing various levels of stairs or ladders, at various floor levels in various buildings as well as the exterior of the building.
